  1. How much experience do you have? We come from many different backgrounds and range in age from our twenties to our sixties. As travel experts/advisors, we travel for a minimum of 6 weeks per year and are required to experience a wide variety of destinations and modes of travel. We are as “at home” in Thailand as we are in Canada. We have: lived in over a dozen countries; been on countless cruises, including adventure cruises, ferry cruises, river barge cruises and luxury ship cruises; accumulated a combined 100+ years of travel experience; traveled in many and various ways – ridden camels, relaxed in rented chauffeur-driven limousines, hitchhiked, rocketed along via high-speed rail, backpacked, flown in chartered helicopters, floated in hot-air balloons, etc.; “shopped ’til we dropped” around the globe, in local street markets and Gucci boutiques; become kids again at Disneyland and Disney World; climbed numerous mountains; stayed in all types of accommodations – $2,000 per night luxury hotels, hostels, B & Bs, budget properties, boutique hotels, local apartments, country inns, etc.; and, in short, served as travel consultants to travel agents and the general public for more than 10 years.   2. What type of trips do you specialize in? Since our staff is highly diverse, there isn’t a style of trip with which we aren’t familiar. We specialize in everything from budget to luxury, relaxing to adventure, rural village to urban city, short- to long-duration, and so much more....

  3. What is your travel style? It’s impossible to classify our style of travel under any single category. As mentioned earlier, our staff is diverse enough to suit everyone’s particular travel requirements. For example, we have experience in all modes of travel, from hitchhiking, to relaxing in chauffeur-driven limousines, to riding camels, to rocketing along via high-speed rail or chugging along via lazy locomotive, to backpacking, to flying in chartered helicopters or Cessna planes, to floating in hot-air balloons, to sailing on luxury or adventure cruise ships, to – well, you name it, we’ve almost certainly done it!

  4. What services are included with the Personalized Travel Plans? Each Personalized Travel Plan includes the following: your most appropriate trip destination (based on the personal and travel preferences you’ve outlined); e-mail access to an expert Travel Advisor who can answer any questions you may have in regards to any destination to which you are considering traveling; handy wallet-sized travel aids, such as airline directories, a reference card bearing phrases in 12 languages, etc.

  5. How long does it take to get the Personalized Travel Plans? Our turnaround time is usually 24-48 hours, depending on the specifics of the Travel Profile Form.

  6. How many suggestion are provided with each Personalized Travel Plans? We usually provide 1-3 suggested destinations with each Personalized Travel Plan, depending on the specifics of the Travel Profile Form. For some travel preferences, not unexpectedly, there are multiple appropriate destinations, while for others, there are only a few.

  7. What if I am not satisfied with your suggested Personalized Travel Plan? Although we have not encountered this situation, if you are not satisfied with your suggested Personalized Travel Plan, we will certainly be happy to provide you with a new one.

  8. What can I use the Quote-Buster Service for? We currently offer this service for airfare, vehicle rentals and accommodation.

  9. How long does it take to get the Quote-Buster ServiceSince we receive requests from prospective travelers in different time-zones, there are circumstances where it can take almost 24 hours for us to find a better deal; however, in most cases, it’s less than 12 hours.

  10. What is the percentage you charge if you find a lower quote? We typically charge 15-30% of the difference between your original quote and our lower quote, depending on the time it takes us to find this lower quote.

  11. Who will finalize the bookings with the Quote-Buster Service? We leave all the bookings to our clients. Since we are not a travel agency, we will not book any travel for you. If you do require assistance with booking your trip using the lower-quote information supplied by the Quote-Buster Service, we can help you. All Quote-Buster Service quotes are provided with instructions on how to book at the lower price.

  12. How many options are provided with the Quote-Buster ServiceWe provide the single lowest option available to you with each Quote-Buster Service.

  13. Do we get the same plan for a lower price with the Quote-Buster Service? The answer depends on the service that you select on the appropriate Quote-Buster Request Form. With the Quote-Buster Service, you have the option of receiving a lower quote for the exact same flight, vehicle rental or hotel OR a lower quote for a similar flight, vehicle rental or hotel.

  14. How does the Quote-Buster Service work?  

    • Complete and e-mail us the appropriate Quote-Buster Request Form or your travel itinerary.
    • If we are able to find you a better deal according to the instructions you’ve given us, we will send you an e-mail containing the original quote you provided, the new lower quote we’ve found, and an invoice for our commission cost for the service (typically between 15-30% of the price difference between your original quote and our lower quote).
    • If you decide to purchase the information on booking at the lower quote we’ve found, we will send you, once payment is processed, another e-mail with details outlining where to book at this lower price.
    • When you receive this second e-mail, you can book your trip immediately, or not at all.  The quote is provided by a third-party travel agency to which we have no obligation.  You are free to do whatever you wish with the information.
